I Can Hear the Mountains Roar

I am the author of I Can Hear the Mountains Roar. I began as an artist. Literally. I think I was born that way, since I can't remember not drawing. My book began as a composition of the simple short stories that made up the early years of my life. Gradually, and naturally, the two interests merged until my "memoir" took an artistic turn and became...voila'!...a mixture of fact and fiction. For instance, the towns "Sturgess" and "Woodelle" do not exist. However, the narrator "EmLee" really did enjoy a brief correspondence with Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy.
In I Can Hear the Mountains Roar, EmLee tells her story of growing up in 1950's West Virginia. Along the way, and at an early age, she learns to meet life's challenges with the one source that never fails...her faith. Then, as a young, widowed mother she struggles with that faith, and finally meets head-on her greatest challenge of all.
Some parts of my book may be uncomfortable to read. The reader may come away from it feeling...moved? Probably. Inspired? I hope so.
